About Trinity Baptist Church

    Our Beliefs on Baptism

Baptism is a symbol of salvation. (An outward testimony of my spiritual experience). Romans 6:3-5,
It is a ordinance, not a sacrament. (An act of obedience, not a means of gaining favor with God.) Matthew 28:19-20,
Baptism is only for those who have place their faith in Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, only believers were baptized. The New Testament suggests strongly that baptism was always by immersion. Matthew 3:16; Acts 8:38-39,

Why should I be baptized?
To obey Christ's command. (Matthew 28:19),
To follow Christ's example. (Matthew 3:13-17),
To follow the practice of the New Testament church. (Acts 2:37-38, 41-42; 8:12-13, 36-38; 9:18; 10:47-48; 16:14-15, 33; 18:8), and to give testimony. . . (Romans 6:1-11)
